New with camera as of 2.25.08

This came with my EOS Digital rebel xti 400d camera but will work with most all canon eos cameras.

yeah, what's up with that? What kind of professional dslr developer does not put full software versions on their site? Is it too much to ask, even though it comes boundled with your camera

I just wanted everybody to know that there's a hack that bypasses the "Updater"'s protection (to only install over previous versions of software) & allows you to install a fresh, and most important, up to date version of desired Canon software (from the Update package).

The only thing you need to do is prior to installing DPP, ZoomBrowser, Utility etc, create a Windows registry *.key file (New Text File) with following contents:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\DPP]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\EOS Utility]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canon\PhotoStitch]

and add it to registry by possibly double clicking file and accepting popup.
